Matt has a remote-controlled airplane and wanted to change out the motor, so he designed this mount to accommodate the new motor. His initials are even printed on the side of it. Ingenious!
We started looking at resources for 3d printing using Blender.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dIAO1zS6oGY http://hackaday.com/2014/01/03/3d-printering-making-a-thing-in-blender-part-i/ We found out that Blender is probably overkill for 3d printing, Something simpler like Google Sketchup does a great job and is used by many people with 3d printers. Some of you already know a fair amount about Blender. so keep using it if you like!
Here are prototypes for key chains for our school tuck shop. As I type this the green plastic just came in! (stay tuned for progress) Link to the obj files . Feel free to print and share.
